Vocabulary Enricher

This time I was Vocabulary Enricher so my job was to right down important words from the section we have read, write down what page and paragraph the word was on, and the definition of it.

  2. Notion                          PG 123 PARA 3                                      A belief or opinion.   
  3. Malinger                       PG 132 PARA 3            To pretend to be ill in order to escape work or duty.
  4. Frenzy                          PG 132 PARA 6                A seizure of violent agitation or wild excitement.
  5. Cardigan                       PG 132 PARA 7           A sweater or knitted jacket opening down the front.
  6. Jiggered                        PG 133 PARA 3                                   To tinker or fiddle with. 
  7. Coaxed                        PG 134 PARA 5         To persuade or try to persuade by pleading or flattery.

Sentences:
  1. Cavorted: Cavorting around and yelling.
  2. Malinger: Lazy students malinger, rather than prepare, hence their low grades. 
  3. Jiggered: Don't jigger with the locked door honey, use the keys.
  4. Cardigan: Oh, you look fabulous in that cardigan honey!
  5. Ornery: While his mother used to interpret this as Curtis's way of being disagreeable and ornery, she's learned that it's really a natural behavior for a two-year old.
