Discussion #1 How did you feel when Salamanca described her uncles' brutal deaths.
Me- In the story, Salamanca describes her uncles' deaths. One died when a tractor flipped over him, the other died when he skied into a tree and the last one died from jumping into a freezing cold lake. I found this part very creative. The ways of the uncles' deaths were very weird but original which made the story more interesting.
Nini- I found it very sad because all her uncles died a a young age, and in brutal ways.
Lovisa- I found it mean because Salamanca was not sad when she described her uncles' deaths which shows she didn't really care about them much.
Ronia- I found it very weird because it s very unlikely to have a tractor flip on top of you, or to jump in a freezing cold lake.
Discussion #2 What was going on through your mind when Sal's dad says "catching fish in the air"
Me, Lovisa, Nini and Ronia all agreed it is an expression for when you want to say something is not going to happen. Sal's dad says this when he explains that her mom is not going to come back.
Discussion #3 How did you feel when it described Sal's sister's death.
Me, Lovisa, Nini and Ronia all thought it unnecessary and disgusting when she described all the of the baby's death.
Predictions for the next chapter
As Phoebe got mysterious clues from an unknown person, Lovisa and Nini think she will be getting more of those mysterious clues, which will help her find her mother.
However, Ronia and I think she will find clues in the house which will indicate where Phoebe's mom is.

This is an image of Salamanca's mother, in front of the blackberry bush. She eats blackberries and afterwards kisses the tree. She leaves a mark that Salamanca inspected and admired for a while. This reminded her of her mother.
Answers from group members about what image shows:
This is the blackberry kiss. Salamanca's mother eats a blackberry and leaves a mark on the tree after kissing it. It reminds of her mother and is very important to her. It was happening in Salamanca's old house, and farm. It was obvious because there was livestock and a fence. Also, there was the blackberry bush and a mark on the tree. Salamanca feels very sad when looking at the tree. That is so because she was missing her mother very much, and the tree reminded Salamanca of her.

Travel Tracer - Nini
Where the actions begins :In "Walk Two Moons", there is not yet a part of the story that Salamanca has a action or explore somewhere. The story takes place in the car trip to Lewiston,Idaho, Salamanca telling the story about Phoebe and her life. One of the key events was that Phoebe's mom left their family but she left some notes for Prudence, Phoebe and her dad but all different ones.
Where the key events happened: These notes were at Phoebe's house. During the car trip, Sal and her grandparents stop at Badlands for a picnic and Sal saw a woman pregnant and she thought about her mom being pregnant and her dead sister that died right after birth.
Where the events ended: There is not a really end of all the events that happened because the whole story till now is a flashback of when Salamanca was in a car trip to Lewiston, Idaho and she was telling the story.

Connector
My connection- When sal's dad would close the family book when anyone entered the room because he thought it was embarrassing that he was looking at the pictures of his family. My connection is that whenever my mom or dad are watching TV or on their phone and they would switch the channel or go to the home page on their phone whenever i was around or any of my siblings.
Nini's connection- Nini was on a picnic and she saw a man that looked like her dad. so she went up to him and wanted to say something to her dad, but when he turned around it was not her dad and she had mistaken him for her dad.
Ronia's connection- She had eaten blackberries of a blackberry bush and her lips turned black from them.
Sofia's connection- Her grandparents are really interested in hearing stories from her from her friends in school. The same as salamanca's grandparents.
